The Team


Karlis A. Cerbulis, Senior Vice President, Baltic States, is based in Riga and has been with NCH since 1996.  Mr. Cerbulis manages the activities of NCH in the Baltics and participates in the management of NCH's agribusiness investments in the Region.  Prior to joining NCH, Mr. Cerbulis was the co-founder and first president of the Riga Stock Exchange, which began trading operations in July 1995.  From 1987 to 1993, Mr. Cerbulis was in management positions at Bank One in Columbus, Ohio, including participating in the Executive Development Program and attaining the rank of Assistant Vice President.  Mr. Cerbulis was the manager of a 900-acre grain farm in Maryland between 1983 and 1985, and in 1984 he worked as a financial analyst for Dole Fresh Fruit in Honduras.  He has also served as an advisor to the Minister of Economy in Latvia.  Mr. Cerbulis received an B.S. in Agronomy, with highest distinction, from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.  

Mr. Cerbulis is supported in Latvia by a full complement of investment and property management professionals.

Ralfs Jansons, Director of NCH Property Investments, Latvia, 
is based in Riga and has been with NCH since November 1996.  He focuses on acquiring, developing, leasing and selling of NCH's real estate investments in Latvia, particularly upper middle class and middle class residential sites, offices and retail projects.  Mr. Jansons received both a B.S. in Finance and an M.B.A. from the College of Saint Rose (Albany, New York) in 1996.

Alexander Kelberg, Vice President � Private Equity,
is based in Riga and has been with NCH since 2003.  He focuses on NCH's private equity investments in Latvia, including establishing and operating an NCH-owned high-tech coating plant for anti-reflective glass ("GroGlass").  From 2000 to 2001 Mr. Kelberg was a Senior Manager at, an online product distribution company, where he also launched their office in Houston, Texas.  Prior to that, he was a healthcare business development and corporate strategy analyst at the Advisory Board Company in Washington, D.C., the largest healthcare consultancy and research firm in the U.S.  Mr. Kelberg received a B.A. in Linguistics, cum laude, from the University of Rochester, and an M.B.A. in Finance and M.A. in International Studies from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
